We stay in very fearful occasions. In an interview with Bob Woodward and Robert Costa in 2016, Donald Trump stated, “Actual energy is — I don’t even need to use the phrase — concern.” Clearly his belief within the energy of concern was properly based as he went on to win the presidency.
But the scriptures urge us to NOT concern the issues of this world. Within the e-book of Joshua there’s a repeated chorus: be robust and brave. “Have I not commanded you? Be robust and brave. Don’t be afraid; don’t be discouraged, for the Lord your God can be with you wherever you go.” These phrases of encouragement are echoed by Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians, “be brave; be robust.” And we’re repeated urged, “Don’t be afraid,” all through the Previous and New Testomony, extra occasions than simply counted.
Concern of the world is the other of religion in God. Don’t feed the fears.
