Our Sins Are Nice. The Love Of God Is Even Larger.

Nehemiah 8:1-9:5

What
occurs when God’s folks ‘collect collectively’(8:1)? – (a) We hear the
Phrase of the Lord (8:2-3,8). We come to the Lord’s Home, searching for a contemporary
understanding of His Phrase. We glance to the Lord, talking via His
Phrase, to fill us ‘with nice pleasure’(8:12). (b) We thank God for His Son,
our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ(8:13-18). In ‘the feast of the
seventh month’, ‘the Lord’s Feast of Tabernacles’, God’s folks
remembered how a lot He had completed for them (Leviticus 23:34,42). Within the
Lord’s Supper, we keep in mind that Christ died for our sins (1 Corinthians
11:23-26). (c) We dedicate our lives to the Lord(9:2). ‘Don’t be
conformed to this world’. ‘Be reworked’ by God’s Phrase (Romans 12:2).
(d) We worship the Lord(9:5). Allow us to ‘reward the Lord our God…’.

Nehemiah 9:6-38

At
the guts of Ezra’s prayer, there’s a large description of God:
‘You’re a God able to forgive, gracious and merciful, sluggish to anger
and abounding in steadfast love’(17). That is ‘our God’. ‘Our sins’ are
nice. The love of God is even higher. We take a look at ‘our sins’, and we
really feel that all the things is hopeless. We glance to ‘our God’, and all the things
adjustments. We see Him because the ‘gracious and merciful God’, and we’re
stuffed with hope. Our life needn’t be managed by ‘our sins’. It could actually
be modified by ‘our God’(31-32,37). Our God ‘delights in steadfast love’.
He ‘will forged all our sins into the depths of the ocean’(Micah 7:18-19).
How do we all know that God loves us? – ‘Christ died for our sins’. Carry
your sins to Jesus, and let ‘His blood cleanse you from all sin’(1
Corinthians 15:3; 1 John 1:7).
