Am I prepared for this?

Initial off, I have to inform you a fast story that occurred as Pat and I have been at the Atlanta, Georgia Airport as we have been traveling to St. Lucia. I noticed this man seeking at me and he type of looked familiar but I blew it off….following all, no one particular knows me this far from household.&nbsp Just after about 20 minutes, This man stands up and begins walking my way…..I am considering ……effectively, I will not even inform you what I was considering.&nbspHe came up to me and mentioned, “Are you Patty?” I paused…….and then mentioned “yes” quite gradually questioning who this man definitely was. He stated his name was Lanny Andrews (and at THAT MOMENT) I knew precisely who he was. His wife had cholangiocarcinoma and sadly passed about three 1/two years ago. Cindy Andrews was a caring, sweet, and type buddy that I met due to this terrible illness known as cholangiocarcinoma. But to consider&nbspabout this….sitting in an airport that he could recognize me…was crazy!&nbsp Lanny nonetheless reads my weblog….nonetheless keeps up on me…and that is how he recognized me. So, Thanks Lanny! Thanks for&nbsphaving the courage&nbspfor coming more than to see if it was me. Hope you had a terrific trip in Jamaica!! Right here is a pic of Lanny &amp I at the airport&nbsp. We had a red eye flight…so sorry about the “just got out of bed appear.”

Pat and I ultimately planted our feet on St. Lucia and was swiftly driven about an hour away to the Sandals Resort. It was the most astounding resort I have ever stayed at. Totally pristine from the rooms….to the pool…to the beach…to the meals…to the never ever letting your glass get empty…they have been normally there. I was a fairly affordable date drinking glasses of ice, ice water, and virgin strawberry daiquiri’s, &nbspand virgin pina colada’s. Pat snorkeled each day and I snorkeled one particular….We also kayaked challenging and rapidly about the massive cove we have been in. This was almost certainly my second preferred trip so far that we have taken by ourselves. I picked out a couple of pics to share prior to ending with an update on my trial.

&nbspPat and I prior to getting into the Japanese Restaurant.

A Sandals Sailboat

&nbspNo….this is not Pat and I! 🙂

&nbspThis wall separated Sandals from the beach. We had lots of openings to go to the beach but the pool was suitable behind exactly where this image was taken.

&nbspThe “other” side of the cove our resort is in. I consider there have been some hotels and Bed and Breakfasts along right here.

&nbspThe creating sticking out is a Japanese Restaurant that we ate at on the Sandals Resort. It was wonderful!!

&nbspThese colorful homes are portion of the Sandal’s Resort. Once more, this is exactly where Pat and I snorkeled.

&nbspThey say there are NO sharks since the water is as well warm. How about THAT!&nbsp 🙂

&nbspPat and Pat-ty

This was taken from our balcony. We snorkeled along the left side of the image clear out to the edge of rock.

&nbspThis attractive tree is like a gigantic Mimosa tree…..There have been the pink blooms all more than while you could not be capable to see them in this image.

I have been taking the clinical trial tablets each day and nonetheless the worst side effects are abdominal cramps that commonly come about suitable prior to “a significant explosion” is about to come about. Needless to say I am a anti diarrheal junkie on an nearly everyday basis.

I travel back to MD Anderson in Houston on Sunday evening with bloodwork beginning at six:30 on Monday morning. I have the CT scan prep beginning later that morning.&nbsp Tuesday morning, I meet with a specialist of some type to appear at all the meds I take and if I am taking two with each other that really should not be taken with each other. I have never ever had this accomplished prior to but with all the “scoots”….it can not be a negative concept.&nbsp Then…….I will get the CT scan and bloodwork benefits when I see Dr. Meric at noon. If all is effectively, we will wait the dreaded 3 hours for new drugs and fly out that evening.

What do I consider the scan will show…great or negative. I do not have a clue. I know I am living life to the fullest. I babysit my youngest grandson two days a week, I am normally on a journey each and every day. I have been painting some ocean animals and have a couple of much more to finish prior to handing them more than to a buddy named Sam.&nbsp What ever the scan shows, we will take it in stride. I am in no discomfort, I really feel largely energetic, and I am just not certain what it will show. Stability would be amazing….shrinkage is an added bonus. I prayed final evening for God to take manage of my life. I asked Him to do what He believes is the suitable issue to come about in my life…and to guide me on this journey.
Occasionally, you actually do not comprehend how lots of persons are dying from cancer till you are closely connected to somebody or have cancer oneself.&nbsp Why is that?&nbsp Why is it that most Relay for Life teams have members with cancer individuals on them?

As the air begins to get cool and crisp, the hickory nuts and acorns start out to fall, campfires start out to come about much more typically this time of year, get pleasure from this unique time of year. Appreciate the fall foliage as it will be on the ground in no time!&nbsp Appreciate each day and give thanks to our astounding God for the view He provides us each day.

I will post possibly Tuesday with a report from the dr…possibly not till Wednesday evening. It all depends on when I have access to the web.

Delighted Fall Y’all!!
