Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I’m so glad. This component of the year is normally my favored. But, I’ll admit (and I bet this is no surprise to you) I’m most thrilled about the great eatin’! WHOHOO! Thursday can not come speedy adequate! (and then of course Friday and Saturday when the leftovers have had ample time to marinate in all of their juicy spices for a couple days). As normally, my loved ones and I will head more than to my mother-in-law’s property. “Granny” is a Great cook. I imply, this lady could seriously open up a restaurant. Her recipes . . . do not basically have recipes. She just throws a bunch of stuff with each other and comes up with the most mouth-watering, remarkable dishes you have ever tasted. I largely attempt not to get in her way but I do aid with a couple of things for our feast. Fresh green beans, cabbage seasoned with corned beef and macaroni and cheese are the usual items I contribute. LOIS’s Pumpkin Bread
two cups Pumpkin (1 15oz can will do)
1 cup vegetable oil
three cups of sugar (gotta uncover a substitute)

1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp clove powder
1 tsp nutmeg
two tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes for muffins and 45 minutes for loaves. About the baking time, my sister says “I think that it seriously requires extra time than this but this is what I set my timer for prior to I begin sticking the bread with a toothpick checking for doneness.
