Ostriches | Rachel G. Hackenberg

On this Lenten way,
O God of each excellent way
we pray for all that is to come:

for the path by means of stormy waters
and for these pummeled by the storm
till the path becomes clear

for the avenues toward peace
and for these surrounded by warring chariots
till the rage of war is quenched

for the riverbeds of restoration
and for these parched in the wilderness
till the rainy season comes

for the intersections of neighborhood
and for these bypassed for their imago dei
till the crossroads are the heart.

Make a holy way
by means of this Lenten way,
we pray. Amen.

on Isaiah 43:16-21
