I’ve been spending a lot of time more than the previous week attempting to get nicely with the very same sickness absolutely everyone else had. So I had some time to study and get caught up on some blogs and articles about Children’s Ministry.

There are statistics everywhere stating the numbers of kids who Do not remain in church when they develop up. 50% stated they didn’t agree with their parent’s faith any longer. The numbers are staggering and frightening to me as they attempted to location youngsters and households in categories primarily based on what type of church they went to, to the quantity of occasions households ate dinner with each other or how a lot of family members devotionals they skilled every single week. A single report even recommended that 75% of kids raised in an evangelical church abandon any partnership with Christ after they leave household.

As a Children’s Director, it created me evaluate what we have been performing as a ministry, and even additional especially, what am I performing, to enable kids and households develop up with a rock-strong faith in Jesus Christ.

I had a helpless feeling and even at moments, sensing hopelessness.

But then I stopped and prayed…and went to God’s Word. There had to be some information there that would counter all these unfavorable numbers.

The Holy Spirit led me to these:

The lady identified 100% of her coins that she lost. (Luke 15:eight)

The shepherd stopped what he was performing till he identified the one particular lost sheep. 100% sheep accounted for. (Luke 15:six)

God produced anything in six days. He absolutely produced anything that necessary to be produced. 100% completed. (Genesis 1)

Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Not element of our sin but ALL our sin. 100% (Colossians 1:14)

He knows the precise quantity of hairs on our head. Not about but the precise quantity. (Matthew 10:30)

He does not know 25% of me. He knows ALL of me. He knitted me with each other. (Psalm 139)

As believers in Christ, we are His sheep and Nothing at all, completely Nothing at all can snatch us out of His hand. (John 10:29)

God stated He would under no circumstances leave us. He would be with us generally. ALL the time. Often. 100% of the time. (Matthew 28:20)

Now these are numbers that bring comfort and enhance our faith. These are God’s numbers that I can trust and be strengthened by. Not so that I neglect teaching my kids about Jesus, possessing family members dinners, family members devotionals and attending and serving at the neighborhood church with each other, but to be reminded that the completed operate is in God’s hands. He is faithful to us. Philippians 1:six says ” For I am confident of this really factor, that He who started a excellent operate in you will excellent it till the day of Christ Jesus.”

What a hope we have in Christ. What a joy to be reminded that our hopelessness is removed. That our duty is to stay faithful to teach God’s word to our kids, and to reside the life God gave us to bring honor and glory to our FAITHFUL GOD.

Pray for your kids, your grandchildren, your parents. Pray that God will develop their faith. Lead them to worship God…truly worship God in spirit and in truth. Be identified faithful to be a living instance of how Jesus lived. Honor God in all you say and do. Demonstrate a life of dependence on Christ. Be conscious of idols in our lives. Let your kids see you reading God’s word. Appreciate the Church. Be faithful to serve the neighborhood church. Appreciate other people. Worship the one particular correct God and Him only.

Your faithful God is 100% with you right now and generally and He will generally lead, guide, strengthen and equip you to lead your family members to have a increasing faith in Christ.

1 John 1:four “You are from God, small kids, and have overcome them for the reason that higher is He who is in you than he who is in the planet.”
