Listen to the Bible with the Dwell App

There are quite a few apps for reading the Bible, but handful of that make it doable to listen to the Bible. I devote a lot of time commuting every day and I am generally either walking to or from the train station, or as well tired to study.

So I was excited to uncover Dwell – a new app from the group behind Lightstock – to listen to the Bible and “keep Scripture in your ears and on your heart.”

The app emerged from a Kickstarter campaign and became the 4th most funded app of all time! With Dwell you can listen to the Bible (ESV, with a lot more translations to come) study by 1 of 4 distinct voices, accompanied by original background music.

You can also pick a playlist primarily based on themes, stories, passages and plans. The app at present includes the complete New Testament and 7 Old Testament books, with a lot more on the way.

The absolutely free version incorporates 1 voice and recurring interruptions. There are three pricing plans out there for all of the voices and limitless, uninterrupted listening:

  • $two.99 a month.
  • $23.99 a year.
  • $126.99 a lifetime.

Dwell is out there now on iOS, and later this year on Android.
