The waters have risen and extreme storms are upon us, but we do not worry drowning, for we stand firmly upon a rock. Let the sea rage, it can not break the rock. Let the waves rise, they can not sink the boat of Jesus. What are we to worry? Death? Life to me implies Christ, and death is obtain. Exile? The earth and its fullness belong to the Lord. The confiscation of goods? We brought practically nothing into this planet, and we shall certainly take practically nothing from it. I have only contempt for the world’s threats, I locate its blessings laughable. I have no worry of poverty, no wish for wealth. I am not afraid of death nor do I extended to reside, except for your very good. I concentrate consequently on the present circumstance, and I urge you, my buddies, to have self-assurance.
Do you not hear the Lord saying: Exactly where two or 3 are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst? Will he be absent, then, when so quite a few men and women united in adore are gathered with each other? I have his guarantee I am certainly not going to rely on my personal strength! I have what he has written that is my employees, my safety, my peaceful harbour. Let the planet be in upheaval. I hold to his guarantee and study his message that is my safeguarding wall and garrison. What message? Know that I am with you generally, till the finish of the planet!
If Christ is with me, whom shall I worry? Even though the waves and the sea and the anger of princes are roused against me, they are much less to me than a spider’s net. Certainly, unless you, my brothers, had detained me, I would have left this pretty day. For I generally say “Lord, your will be done” not what this fellow or that would have me do, but what you want me to do. That is my sturdy tower, my immovable rock, my employees that in no way provides way. If God desires a thing, let it be performed! If he desires me to keep right here, I am grateful. But wherever he desires me to be, I am no much less grateful.
But exactly where I am, there you are as well, and exactly where you are, I am. For we are a single physique, and the physique can not be separated from the head nor the head from the physique. Distance separates us, but adore unites us, and death itself can not divide us. For although my physique die, my soul will reside and be mindful of my men and women.
You are my fellow citizens, my fathers, my brothers, my sons, my limbs, my physique. You are my light, sweeter to me than the visible light. For what can the rays of the sun bestow on me that is comparable to your adore? The sun’s light is beneficial in my earthly life, but your adore is fashioning a crown for me in the life to come.
