If you’ve not been toIsrael yet, then you have to go!

As Jesus is, so are we in this world. If it said as Jesus was, it would be good enough, but it says “as Jesus is”.
Life is about beholding the Lord Jesus.

For everything in life, the answer is to “see Jesus”. See Jesus by listening to a sermon or reading God’s word.
Don’t depend on visions because demons can give visions too.

The first recorded thing that Jesus did after rising from the dead is to dry a woman’s tears.
On that same day, Jesus walked on the Road to Emmaus with a couple (Clopas and his wife) who were depressed and disappointed.
To the couple, Israel was the main attraction and Jesus was just a means to an end.
The Lord was about to change that by expounding the Scriptures to them.
Emmaus means “warm baths”.
The couple said that their hearts were warm when listening to Jesus speak.
Why did God restrain their eyes from recognizing Jesus?
It was more important for them to see Jesus in the word than in person.
They only recognized Jesus in the breaking of bread — they were allowed to recognize Him through that.

The Book of Hebrews is all about showing that Jesus is better than everything else.

The main thrust of the church is to expound Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Holiness is a term has been so misconstrued and maligned.
The word “holy” comes from the word “whole”. Do you want to be whole?
To be holy is to be uncommon. We don’t have to fit in with the world.

Every marriage must have a third party: Jesus. Marriage is when two broken people are brought together.
Don’t unconsciously put your spouse in Jesus’ place and start demanding from your spouse only what the Lord can provide.

When your pastors go away to Israel, you stand to benefit because they will return with torrential streams of revelation to feed you with.

Genesis 49:1 – Jacob’s blessings are prophecies about Jesus.

“Jacob called to his sons, and said: “Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which will happen to you in the days to come.” (Genesis 49:1 WEB)

Genesis 49:28 – Everything in Genesis 49 are blessings that must be understood with Jesus as the key to unlock them.

“All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father spoke to them and blessed them. He blessed everyone according to his blessing.” (Genesis 49:28 WEB)

Jesus and the crowd following Him met the funeral procession coming from the opposite direction, at the gate of the city of Nain. The one who was dead is the child of a widow. Jesus is the Commander over Life and Death. When death and life met, death had to bow down to the Lord Jesus. Image credit to http://religious-artist.blogspot.com

How Jesus is the fulfillment of Jacob’s blessings

Genesis 49:19-22 – The Gadarene demoniac’s cries could be heard across the Sea of Galilee. Jesus heard it.
A storm arose that was caused by the devil. The devil was trying to stop Jesus from reaching the demoniac.
Jesus was the only One who met the demoniac. The disciples were probably scared and waiting in the boat.
The demoniac was the most demonized man. That demoniac fell at Jesus’ feet.
God will never allow the demons to touch the man’s free choice.
The demon that possessed the man was called “Legion”. There could have been 6000 demons inside him.
Jesus cast out the demons and the demons entered the herd of swine nearby. The swine knew better than to live as demon-possessed. They rushed off the cliff into the sea and died.
This doesn’t mean that we cannot eat pork.
Gad means “a troop”. The region of Gad became known as “Gadara”, where the Gadarene demoniac was.
The demoniac was trampled by a troop of demons but triumphed at last when Jesus cast Legion out.
The demoniac became an evangelist to 10 cities in the region, telling the people about how Jesus delivered him from the demons.
The city of Tyre was in the territory of Asher. Jesus met the Syro-Phoenician woman there and healed her daughter.
God hates hypocrisy because if He blesses what you pretend to be, you’ll never know that you’re loved just as you are.
Jesus said that it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the puppies.
But the woman responded in faith and humility — she accepted her place as a “dog” (the Jews’ opinion of the Gentiles at that time) and Jesus said great was her faith.
It’s like she reached out into the future where the blessings of God are made available for everyone in the world.
Asher’s bread is the healing bread that the Syro-Phoenician woman’s daughter received.
Jesus performed most of His miracles in the region of Naphtali.
Jesus healed the woman who was bent over for 18 years (6 + 6 + 6) —  the word “loosed” is used. It’s like Jesus loosed a deer who was bound.
Jesus healed the sick and demon-possessed in Naphtali and they were set free like deer let loose.
Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount in the region of Naphtali — this sermon is one of the most beautiful words ever spoken by a Man.
When your spouse does something good that you like, show your appreciation. Don’t just feel it and not say anything.
There was a wall of partition during Jesus’ time that didn’t allow the Gentiles from crossing over to the Jews’ territory.
Joseph (Jacob’s son) and his life is the clearest typology of Jesus.
Jesus is the fruitful bough (tree) by the well — He ministered to the Samaritan woman by the well — His blessings went over the wall of partition.

““Gad, a troop shall tramp upon him, But he shall triumph at last. “Bread from Asher shall be rich, And he shall yield royal dainties. “Naphtali is a deer let loose; He uses beautiful words. “Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall.” (Genesis 49:19-22 NKJV)

Matthew 4:13-15 – Most of Jesus’ miracles were performed in the region of Naphtali.

“Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, the people who sat in darkness saw a great light, to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, to them light has dawned.”” (Matthew 4:13-16 WEB)

Your life is too precious to be unsure of your salvation, unsure of your forgiveness of sins, or unsure of what the Gospel is.
Life is too short to miss the most important thing: knowing Jesus.

There is no place for us to harbor anti-Semitic thoughts.
The Jews are God’s special beloved people.
Every nation that came against Israel was brought to oblivion.

John 4:4-6 – Jesus is the fruitful bough by the well that ran over the wall of partition.

“He needed to pass through Samaria. So he came to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son, Joseph. Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.” (John 4:4-6 WEB)

Death has to bow down to Jesus: The Commander over life and death

Genesis 49:14-15 – Issachar represents Mount Mor’re lying in-between Nain and Shunam.
Shunam means “double resting place”.
The two saddlebags (or in NASB translation, “sheepfolds”) are the cities of Nain and Shunam.
Jesus resurrected a boy in Nain and Elisha resurrected another boy in Shunam.
“Pleasant” is literally “Naim” in Hebrew.
Jesus bowed His shoulder to the burden of death (the dead son of the widow) and raised the son up from the dead, presenting the son back to his mother.

““Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the saddlebags. He saw a resting place, that it was good, the land, that it was pleasant. He bows his shoulder to the burden, and becomes a servant doing forced labor.” (Genesis 49:14-15 WEB)

Luke 7:11-17 – “Nain” means pleasant or beauty.
In this earth that was created pleasant and beautiful, man spoilt it by sinning. Death came into the earth.
Jesus walked about a day to reach Nain.
Jewish burials were usually done in the time of the evening.
Jesus and the crowd following Him met the funeral procession coming from the opposite direction, at the gate of the city.
Jesus came down from heaven to meet mankind who was marching towards the Gate of Hell because death came into the world.

The one who was dead is the child of a widow. The widow was left alone with no husband.
The only begotten Son of God raised the only son of the widow from the dead.

This is the first place in the Gospel of Luke that Jesus is referred to as “Lord”.
Jesus is the Commander over Life and Death.
When death and life met, death had to bow down to the Lord Jesus.
If you’ve experienced the death of a beloved child, he or she is more alive now in heaven than before. God’s word affirms it — you will meet him or her again when the Rapture happens.
Jesus never did a miracle and commanded a person to follow Him because of it. He only asked people He appoints (like Peter) to follow Him.
Jesus never makes miracles a reason to force you to follow Him.
In the city of Shunam, another dead boy was resurrected by Elisha in times past. That boy was a son prophesied by Elisha to his once-barren mother.
When the boy had died, the mother traveled to find Elisha and upon finding him, she just said “Shalom” when asked if everything was okay — a beautiful word of faith. Elisha had wanted to send his servant but the woman insisted that Elisha himself should go with her.
Elisha was away at Carmel. Carmel and Shunam were separated by the valley of Jezreel.
Nain is on the opposite side of Shunam. They are separated by the hill of Mo’re (which means teacher/former rain).
These two cities are placed side by side for our learning and instruction.
In Nain, Jesus (whose name means “Yahweh saves”) raised the only son of a widow from the dead.
In Shunam, Elisha (whose name means “My God saves”) prayed to the Lord and raised an only son from the dead.
“Yahweh saves” shows relationship — it means the “Covenant-keeping” God. “My God (Elohim) saves” shows distance — it means the “Creator God”

In Jesus’ miracle, the Lord Himself was present to save. With Elisha’s miracle, Elisha had to pray to Jesus who was up in heaven.
Elisha resurrected the boy with much effort and exertion, but Jesus resurrected the boy with just one word, “Kuma”.
In every way, Jesus is greater and better than even Elisha.
That’s why the people said that a great prophet has arisen among them.
The evening began with two processions: death and life.
But it ended with one large procession of life following the Lord Jesus. Praise the Lord!

“Soon afterwards, he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him. Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, “Don’t cry.” He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!” He who was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother. Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!” This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea, and in all the surrounding region.” (Luke 7:11-17 WEB)

If you believe in Jesus, you are surely saved. Even if your heart stops beating, you will find yourself in heaven.
Don’t go yet though, there’s still work to be done here on earth!

Testimonial about Milton’s sermon notes:

“Milton Goh my brother, your insight on Grace has set me free from 20 yrs of addiction. I was a 7 time felon but by the GRACE of God I am now an ordained minister. Here is some of my story: I was saved in Dec 2016 and started evangelizing in July of 2017 as soon as I was released. My ministry has led over 800 to Jesus. I go to jails, rehabs, homeless shelters plus numerous churches! Your notes and sermons allowed me to find rest in Jesus. I was getting tired trying to perform what I thought God needed from me. You have made me realize it’s 100% the CROSS and now I go constantly for Jesus but never get tired. Thanks for your wisdom and love for Jesus. May God bless you and your family!”

“Tremendous, powerful. I love Milton Goh’s approach, not only for his emphasis on grace which is so powerful, but Milton’s teaching also stands out for an abundance of Biblical wisdom when even many believers stray from key Biblical truths. The truths in this resonated deeply.” – Donald Berg, USA

“Dear Milton Goh, I truly thank our Abba, Father for the revelations in this book. It is so amazing how I begin to discover important verses in the Bible that I have never read. That instead of following riches, with sleepless nights, and actually shortening our lives, we are just to ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ’, and ‘Love one another’. How beautiful to find out that actually in the Bible there is both ‘Earthly or Worldly Investment Wisdom’ and ‘Eternal Investment Wisdom’ according to the revelations here from Ecclesiastes 5:14-17 WEB)!; “It seems like Solomon was not only wise at earning material riches but also at earning eternal riches.” All the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you Milton Goh for such a wonderful book!” – Nitta Nierra from Belgium

“I’m reading this book and loving it! The revelations of the Gospel truth shared and it’s life applications are absolutely amazing! I give glory to the Lord Jesus for my dear brother Milton for this exceptional resource. I’m gonna keep feeding on its contents and believe God for supernatural breakthroughs as my mind is renewed in Christ!” – Terence from Tombel, Cameroon

“Hi Milton I really enjoyed the message! It really encouraged me. I have a hope that does not disappoint, a future of great rewards, built only on Jesus and nothing can give greater satisfaction than Jesus!” – Antoinette H. Keyser from South Africa
